I began my teaching career in 2004 at a K-12 school in Morris, New York. There, I taught science, ELA and mathematics to first, third and fourth grade students at Morris Central School District. In addition to teaching, I also coached Boys Varsity Soccer during my tenure at Morris Central School.
Before I moved back to the North Country, I spent three years of my career teaching 3rd grade and coaching soccer/softball at Gardner-Dickinson in the Wynantskill Union Free School School District, a K-8 school in Wynantskill, New York (Troy, NY).
Parishville-Hopkinton Central School in Parishville, New York was my next stop where I taught all subjects in a sixth grade classroom. I also coached Modified Boys Soccer and directed the 6th grade graduation ceremony each year.
These combined experiences have provided me with an in-depth knowledge of New York State’s Learning Standards and have taught me how to successfully prepare my students- not just for proficiency on their corresponding assessments- but for life beyond the walls of the classroom. As a product of the Potsdam School District, I can attest to the top quality education one can receive and I look forward to further developing my talents as both a teacher and a role model for Potsdam’s youth.
