Grade 5 Social Studies
The philosophy in my Social Studies classroom is to have a warm and inviting place where the students can come in and feel safe and happy at all times.
The books that we will be reading from in class this year are:

Fly Away Home by Patricia Hermes
Save Me A Seat by Gita Varadarajan and Sarah Weeks
If your child misses school, the following information is provided to help you in their absence.
All classwork and homework sheets can be found on the Social Studies Google Classroom under classwork with the correct dates for the week and clearly labeled.
If you or your child are unable to print any of these resources located on Google Classroom to hand in, the work can be shown on a separate piece of lined paper that can be turned in.
Your child may be recieving a chapter book that will go home with them from time to time for assignments. These chapter books are expected to come back to school the next day, every day.
