A Little About Me: I've lived in Northern New York my whole life, and am a graduate of SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Early Childhood/Childhood Education with a focus in English Language Arts, and a Masters of Science in Education in Special Education. My passion for teaching those with special needs is one that began in high school and continues to grow each day in the classroom.
My Approach: My 12:1:1 Life Skills class integrates ELA, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies topics into real-life situations, current events topics, and experiences so that each student receives a customized education personalized to their unique learning needs. I am a huge proponent of the N2Y, multi-tiered, curriculum that encompasses both News-2-You for a current events curriculum, and the Unique Learning System for other content areas.
